Psychotherapy for individuals across Ontario

“Why do I keep doing this?”
“What is wrong with me?”
“Why do I feel this way?”Whether you shut down in conflict, avoid certain situations, or feel overwhelmed by emotions, many of us struggle with patterns that keep us stuck. But what if those patterns aren’t random—and are not a sign that something is wrong with you? What if they’ve actually been trying to protect you?I believe every emotion and behavior makes sense in context. We all develop strategies to stay safe, based on our experiences. Sometimes those strategies helped us survive. And sometimes, they begin to get in the way of how we want to live.In therapy, we gently get curious about these patterns, explore their roots, and build new ways of responding that feel more aligned, grounded, and empowering.I’m passionate about creating a space where people feel safe enough to explore authentically—to look beneath the surface, reconnect with themselves, and begin to interrupt old cycles with compassion rather than judgment.
I work with people who feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve them—whether that shows up as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, disconnection, self-criticism, or a sense that something’s “off” but hard to name. These struggles often stem from trauma, attachment wounds, or nervous system patterns developed to help us cope.Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, moving toward greater clarity, connection, and a more authentic way of being. I draw on ACT, Compassionate Inquiry, mindfulness, and nervous system-based approaches, but most importantly, therapy with me is about showing up in relationship—being present and compassionate. It’s not about fixing you. It’s about getting curious and gently making space for something new.
Therapy with me is collaborative, validating, and trauma-informed. We often start by exploring what’s present for you and work together to understand your experience—at your pace. Sessions may include mapping your nervous system responses, exploring emotions with curiosity, and reconnecting with your values. We might also explore practical ways to support regulation, like using breath awareness and practices to support your nervous system. These are your sessions—we work together to ensure the process feels safe, empowering, and attuned to your needs.
